Michael Jackson: Gone But Never Forgotten!
The Internet phenomenon Susan Boyle, finalist in the Britains Got Talent music show, sang the song that made her so famous 7 weeks ago, “I Dreamed a Dream”, from the musical “Les Miserables”, last night in the finals. Her entree “I Dreamed a Dream” from 7 weeks ago has been viewed millions of times and she is now the fifth-most watched clip in the history of YouTube.
When she gave her final curtsy after singing her entry no one thought that it would be, Her Final Curtsy, as she was favored to win not only by the people but also by the bookmakers. Unfortunately, this was not to be, as she came in second loosing to an acrobatic dance troupe called Diversity which consists of 10 members ranging from 12 to 25 years old.
The winners of Britains Got Talent have now earned £100,000, ($160,000), and the right to perform for Queen Elizabeth II at the Royal Variety Show in December.
Even though Susan Boyle did not win the Britains Got Talent music show last night it is not over for her by any stretch of the imagination as she has already appeared on Oprah Winfrey and Larry King and of course it is expected that she will land a lucrative recording contract as a result of her global fame and impressive voice.
This is what they saw and heard last night on Britains Got Talent:

In case you missed the 2009 Grammys last night U2 opened the show with “Get On Your Boots.” And this was only the beginning of the star-studded production.
Some of the other rich and famous included Paul McCartney performing “I Saw Her Standing There”, Whitney Houston, Justin Timberlake, Chris Martin, Jay-Z, Carrie Underwood, Kid Rock and the list goes on and on.
But don’t take my word for it! A list of all of the winners of the 2009 Grammy Awards and the other festivities can be found here:
That’s all for me today, hope you have a great week and see you back again soon for some more good old fashioned…
As most of you probably know the California Supreme Court recently overturned the Gay Marriage ban. In a 4-3 decision the justices ruled that people have a fundamental ‘right to marry’ the person of their choice and that gender restrictions violate the state Constitution’s equal protection guarantee.
Recently many Gay, or as some like to call them, Same Sex Marriages took place in San Francisco, California to the delight of many.
But somehow I don’t think think that this couple either agrees with the decision of the Supreme Court or was delighted with those recent marriages, well, you judge for yourself!
You know, that’s the beauty of living in America, Everyone not only has the right to their opinion but also has the right to voice that opinion through free speech!
And as far as Gay or Same Sex Marriages go? I think Bob Dylan put it so eloquently all those years ago when he said: The Times They Are A-Changin’!
I would also like to say a special Thank You to Tommy for giving me the idea for this post!
Well, that’s all for me today, hope to see you back again soon here at…
You know, sometimes it’s hard to be a pig, but when you’ve got these farmers behind you watching your bacon maybe it’s not as hard as it once was!
The Waltros and Farmers Weekly are working together on the Save our Bacon campaign which is trying to raise awareness to the difficulties facing the pig sector right now.
After hearing this song I think they are going to succeed! I found myself really rockin’ out when listening to this and hope you will too!
Oh sing it baby!!
That’s all for me today, I suddenly feel like having a BLT…I wonder why?? See you back tomorrow for some more…
People as far away as the United States and Europe helped to make up the nearly 300,000 spectators this week-end as they joined Australians in celebrating the 30th annual Gay and Lesbian Sydney Mardi Gras parade.
The Sydney Mardi Gras has become one of the world’s largest and most flamboyant demonstrations of Gay Pride. Quite an achievement considering that just 30 short years ago the first parade only drew a crowd of 1,500.
This year nearly 10,000 people participated in the 2.5 mile procession which included 150 themed floats some of which even included moving dance floors!
It is obvious by this video that much planing and effort went into making this years parade the success that it was but it was worth it I am sure, because it looks like a great time was had by all!
*Note* Video may not be suitable for minors, so for that reason alone I have decided not to include it directly on JabberWocky!

I’m sure that almost everyone has heard the song America The Beautiful at least once in their lifetime but have you ever really sat back and thought about how beautiful she really is?
Of course she has so much to offer in the way of beautiful freedom and democracy and that is what so many people think about when they think of America, but have you ever thought about just how many beautiful sites she has in your own backyard…if you happen to live in America?
A friend of mine made a comment to me the other day that he is always amazed how when people go on vacation they always want to go “Overseas” or to some other country that borders her like Canada or Mexico and half of the time these same people have never really seen what “their own backyard” has to offer them first!
After sitting back and thinking about it I soon saw that he was right of course.
Personally I have traveled a lot “Overseas” and in the border countries of America and in fact I have lived in The Netherlands for the past 15 years, so I may seem like one of those people that I have mentioned above…But I’m Not!
Before I started venturing out of America I had traveled very extensively throughout all of the U.S.A. I have personally seen from sea to shining sea and trust me, everything in between over a dozen times.
I made most of my travels in a car and not flying over the top of her, (although I have done that a number of times also and she is almost as beautiful 30,000 feet above her as she is on the ground, but it is definitely not the same), so I know just how beautiful America really is.
But for those of you that have not been as fortunate as I have been to travel so extensively in America or for those of you that have never seen America, here is a little look see at just some of the beautiful sites that makes America The Beautiful!
I want to thank my cousin for e-mailing me this site, he knows how I like pretty and interesting things and after viewing this video and the rest of the site I have added SageBrush Patriot to the blogroll where it is described as “just good old fashioned American patriotism, values, and tradition”, if you care to stop by and see what other words of wisdom is on offer!
That’s it for me today, I hope that you had a great week-end and I’ll see you back again tomorrow for some more…
For anyone that doesn’t know YouTube is a popular free video sharing Website that lets users upload, view and share video clips.
Some people, like me, have a little trouble with uploading some of these videos from the YouTube Website and/or complain that it takes too long, they don’t show up and other various complaints.
Softpedia has a solution to this problem, it offers a free tool that downloads FLV files from the YouTube Website quickly and easily.
It’s very simple to use. Simply copy and paste the URL of a video from YouTube into the program, press “Grab” OR “Enter”, and the file will be downloaded into the same directory as the program.
