Happy Holidays from Uni and Sage & see you back again soon for some more…

T.G.I.F. & U.F.O.’s! / University of Christmas

As you can tell Uni & I have not been around much the last couple of weeks but we’ve been going slightly crazy running around and trying to get everything ready for Christmas!

It’s been especially hard this year because as many of you know we moved not too long ago and a lot of our stuff is still packed and stored in the attic so something as simple as trying to get the Christmas tree ornaments proved to be a real challenge to say the least!

And Uni is leaving today to  spend the  Christmas holidays with his family and friends so a lot of shopping was called for too, after all, he couldn’t show up empty handed and if you thought finding the Christmas ornaments was a challenge…just wait until you have to go out and buy gifts for a bunch of Unicorns! Let me tell you, they’re not easy to buy for, especially the little ones and of course they want all of the latest Christmas gadgets that Unicorns love, so it has been a difficult last few weeks!

But when Uni leaves today he’ll be gone for the holidays and I’ll be home alone so maybe I’ll have a bit of time to rest and get my second wind!

Anyway! As you probably know, or maybe you don’t, Unicorns love Christmas and all of the fun it has to offer, and Uni, going home to be with family and friends, didn’t want to appear too dumb when it comes to the facts about Christmas so a while back he enrolled in the University of Christmas and became a full fledged Christmasologist! Diploma and all!

In fact I went to the graduation ceremony last night and I couldn’t have been more proud of Uni. He was standing so proud when the Master of Ceremonies shook his horn and presented him with his diploma! He’s is not only proud of the fact that he graduated and received a diploma but that he is also the first Unicorn to go to University in his family! I guess you could say that Uni graduated Uni!!

So as soon as we got home last night he made sure that his diploma was safely packed away in his luggage for his trip!

If you would like to receive a diploma as a Christmasologist then you too can go to the University of Christmas and take the exams, and if you pass, you too will be rewarded with a degree in Christmasology!

Interested? If so go to:

Are You The Brightest Bulb On The Tree? University of Christmas

Well, that’s all for me today, I’m off to get Uni ready for his trip, and if you happen to attend the University of Christmas I wish you very good luck in your studies and see you back here again soon for some more good old fashioned…

T.G.I.F. & Still More Turkey!

Well I’m still so full from yesterday that I can hardly move this morning and after looking in the refrigerator I see that I have done it yet again this year!

I DO NOT know how I manage it, but Every Year when I cook Thanksgiving dinner and serve everyone that I can possibly find to get rid of the food, (I even gave some rolls to the ducks this year), I STILL end up with more food…especially turkey, than what I originally started with!

I swear Tommy Turkey Grows with every bite I take!

So now I’ve got the dreaded job of creating new creations for the next month with all of the leftovers! I needed some new ideas, (ones that weren’t mine because last year when I started serving turkey milk shakes I knew I was loosing it!), for what to do.

I found this site quite by accident but with all of the leftover turkey recipes it has I figure I’ll be safe for at least a month without having to sink to having leftover leftovers!!!

So if you didn’t take Tommy Turkey’s advice yesterday and “EAT BEEF”, and you need a little help with this problem too, maybe you’ll be able to find something new for your table also!

Leftover Turkey Recipes

Well, that’s all for me today…I’m going to go out and try to jog or Something!… if I can move at all, but hope to see you back again soon for some more good old fashioned…

GOBBLE, GOBBLE!

Tommy Turkey says...Eat Beef!

The First Thanksgiving

I’m going off now to count my blessings and give Thanks but hope to see you back again…with full bellies, for some more good old fashioned…

I Have To Cook Thanksgiving Dinner…WHEN??????

This lady just woke up from the drunken stupor she went on Halloween night and just realizes she’s hosting Thanksgiving Dinner for 32 of her closest friends tomorrow!!

I have to cook Thanksgiving Dinner...WHEN??

Personally I think she’s going to need a little help and in case you do too you might want to check out this Last Minute Thanksgiving Survival List!

Good luck & I hope you have a great day today…Don’t Sweat It…everything is going to turn out perfect…You’ll See!

That’s all for me today, hope to see you back again soon for some more…

In Honor of Veteran’s Everywhere

Father’s Day 2008!

The men in our lives, they’re always there in the background with a shoulder to cry and lean on and a steady love that is too often taken for granted. Once each year, on the third Sunday in June, there is a chance to remind fathers, and the men who step in when fathers are not available, that all of their quiet efforts are appreciated.

You may think that Father’s Day is a modern invention, but the truth is that a Babylonian youth named Elmesu carved the first known Father’s Day card in clay nearly 4,000 years ago. His special message wished his father good health and a long life. Fortunately, modern cards are a bit easier to fit in the mail box!

For more on the history of Father’s Day go to:

The History of Father’s Day

I hope that all of you Great Dad’s out there have a Fantastic Father’s Day 2008!

That’s all from me this time, hope to see you back again soon here at…
