Blog Comments

Recently the stats on my blog have been going up each day on one particular post, (believe me when I tell you it was definitely Not my best post!), and on that post I have been getting at least one comment each day that I have to moderate. While I love for people to read my blog and comment on it’s contents these comments have been getting ridiculous and are obviously SPAM!!

These comments are coming from Russia and the first couple of days they were approved because the comments had merit and the Websites that these people had looked ok to me, (not full of ads to click on and make money…even though my Russian is sadly lacking what it use to be these days), but I have had to start deleting or marking these comments as spam recently as many of them, still on the same post, continuously come back and make generally the same comments now, something to the effect of “good” or “good blog” or “good work”, each time with a different name and Website but with the Same IP address.

Those of you that have been around here since the beginning KNOW FULL WELL how I feel about my blog/blogs being SPAMED as I wrote a very lengthy post about it quite some time ago.

So in closing this post, which I Really did not want to write…

Let it be know to everyone if I continuously receive comments on my posts, especially the same posts, with the exact same comment coming from the exact same IP address these comments will be purged and marked as spam from now on.

I hate to have to do this as I am generally a nice guy gal but I do so hate being taken advantage of!

That’s all for me today, hope to see you back again Reading AND Commenting, (Not Spamming me), soon here at…

The “How To’s” to Stop Wasting time Online!

It is amazing how much time many of us waste every day while we are online. I am probably one of the worst. I have my mind set on doing something very important and if I need help I “Google It” to see if I can’t find the answer then a couple of hours later after my eye has been caught with 50 other things I finally realize that I had set out to do something that of course it has not been done yet and then the entire circle begins all over again! Sometimes it is even the next day before I get around doing what I started out to do originally!

But there is help out there to help us stop wasting time online if we really want to and it comes in the form of four Firefox extensions and one desktop app to help you keep track of the time you spend online and they even give you reports so you can watch out and make efficient use of your time by cutting down on wandering around sites that are of no use.

LeechBlock can be set to block websites from loading in Firefox.

TimeTracker tracks the amount of time you’ve been browsing around.

8 a Week is basically the same as the first one only it has more powerful options and provides graphs that display the various activities versus the time you’ve spent on them.

MeeTimer is a light activity tracker that keeps track of the visited websites in any given day, records total time, and groups them into purpose-based categories.

And Rescue Time is a desktop program that helps you to understand how and where you spend your time while browsing Web or working on your PC.

I don’t know about you but I am pretty sure that as bad as I am about wasting time online I need all of these!

For more information on these extensions you can visit the Websites or go to:

T.G.I.F. & U.F.O.’s / Free Computer Screen Cleaner!

I am always out there looking for goodies for everyone and especially FREE goodies. Well this time I have found a great one!

My computer screen is always dirty…or it seems like it is anyway! I was on the Net the other day and came across a free computer screen cleaner that works from Inside of your computer! I have never heard of such a thing so of course I had to give it a try!

Boy was I ever surprised! I have to admit that my screen has never looked the way it does now. It really does the job!

The great part about it is that this computer screen cleaner is done online so it needs no download to worry about spreading all kinds of nasty viruses through your computer.

If you have just a couple of extra minutes why don’t you run over there now and clean yours before you forget!

FREE! Computer Screen Cleaner

Oh that’s ok, you don’t have to thank me, I was happy to do it!

That’s all for me today! Hope you all have a great week-end and see you back again on Monday for some more…

T.G.I.F. & U.F.O.’s / HEEERRR’S Johnny!!!

If you’ve been hearing about this weird and creepy video called Rubber Johnny that has been around for a couple of years and haven’t seen it yet then here’s your chance! If you have seen it already then you just may want to watch it again, although, for many, once is enough!

And if you are one of those people that haven’t heard about it then you really don’t know what you are missing!

Rubber Johnny is a 16 year old inbred mutant that also happens to be an insane imbecile. This 6 minute film documents his almost solitary existence. He is locked in a dark basement by his parents who are ashamed of him. Johnny’s parents feed him occasionally and of course yell at him a lot for making too much noise.

Rubber Johnny does have one companion though…his little Chihuahua dog who is completely terrified of him! (I wonder why)??

Anyway, Rubber Johnny spends his days trying to amuse himself and his dog in some Very Strange ways…

Need I say more?

You can view the video here and if you choose you even have the option of watching it full screen if you go to the right bottom of the video screen and click on that option.

Now I would suggest you going to the kitchen and making yourself a nice bowl of popcorn and get a soda so you can sit back and enjoy the festivities in style!

Rubber Johnny

That is well and truly it for me today and in fact this week, I think I am going to go and have a lie down for the rest of the week-end and rest my truly disturbed mind…sometimes I really worry about me!! But I’ll be back! And I’ll see you back here again on Monday when I am thoroughly rested for some more…

Forget No More!

Did you ever make a grocery list, go to the store and buy your groceries only to find out when you get home that you forgot the most important ingredient in tonights dinner party menu and have to go back to the store to buy it because without that one ingredient the dinner will be a complete, embarrassing flop?

Well, before I go on, I don’t have to worry about making that list because every time I make one, I walk out the door, get to the store, put my hand in my pocket to grab my list only to find that I have left it hanging on the refrigerator!

I’m always being told that I would forget my head if it weren’t attached…so this post is not for me, But if you are one of those lucky ones that Does remember your list…only forgets to add things to it, then this is for you!

It’s called The Ultimatest Grocery List. It is a downloadable list that you hang on the refrigerator. As you go along during the week and need something you just mark it down on the pre-made list. Then just before you go to the store you can sit down and go through the items on the list and see if you’ve missed anything!

Even though I will never use the list I must admit that I downloaded it and it has Everything on it that you can think of, and if they have forgotten to add something, it’s even got a space at the bottom to add those extras…if you have to be difficult and buy something out of the ordinary!

It’s also got a couple of lists at the bottom of what you need before you go to the store and before you check out!

On the bottom of the list there is a request that you leave the list in the shopping cart so that whoever finds it hopefully sends it to Grocery Lists.org.

They claim that: “This is the world’s largest online collection of found grocery lists. In fact, we wrote the book on found grocery lists. Why? Other peoples’ grocery lists are fascinating. Plus, the Internet is a great place to do stupid/interesting things. So far 1,800 funny, crazy, weird, sad and/or mundane discarded scraps of paper have been posted”!!

The Ultimatest is a great success…or so I’ve read, it’s already been downloaded by more than 100,000 people. So, if you are planing on making a list and checking it twice why don’t you go over, check it out and download it.

It just may make your next dinner party a success and if nothing else, it will keep you from getting writers cramps!

That’s it for me today! Hope you had a great week-end and see you back again tomorrow for more…

Job Hunting in the 2008 Recession

The New Year has just began and already we’re hearing about the 2008 recession! The year has started out with a bang alright but definitely not a good one!

With big time companies like Yahoo! laying off people it doesn’t take a genius to see that times are hard and getting harder!

With unemployment and a recession on the rise everyone out there that has a job should be praying to the Job God right about now.

Companies are dropping like flies and it doesn’t appear to be getting any better!

The average American doesn’t know this, (because it’s not announced on the news every day), but where I live in Holland it is, that the dollar is at an almost all time low and that most countries don’t even want to touch the good old “greenback” right now because it is loosing money faster than they can get it to the bank.

Of course if you’re rich you know this fact and Many of the rich or people that have even a small fortune are moving their money out of America and to countries where they can begin to recoup some of their losses and not loose anymore to this recession.

Living in Holland I see Every Morning what the current rate of the dollar is, it’s announced at the end of the news just before the weather.

Did you know that when Bill Clinton was leaving office that it took only 84¢ to buy 1 Euro? And this morning?

This morning it takes $1.46 to buy 1 Euro! For your information, yesterday it took $1.45 to buy 1 Euro!

Now I realize a penny doesn’t seem like a lot but when your cashing in a lot of money it adds up considerably! For that 1¢ increase in one day if you had 1 million dollars you would have lost $10,000 in just one day!

Now take that and consider that just a little over 8 short years ago it took 84¢ to buy 1 Euro! The amount lost on 1 million dollars is staggering! With the Euro costing 52¢ more now to buy 1 Euro a millionaire would have to pay $520,000 more to buy the same amount as he/she would have 8 years ago! Over half a million more to buy 1 million Euros…in just 8 short years!

I don’t have to tell you that the average Joe can not afford this recession and the average Joe can definitely not afford to loose his/her job right now!

Things are looking bad for America & Americans financially and with what the stock market did recently it doesn’t look as though the value of the dollar is going up anytime soon, in fact, quite the opposite!

So now that you are in bad enough shape what are you to do if you happen to loose that precious job of yours?

Trust me, I know that Unemployment and/or Welfare is not going to take care of you and your loved ones sufficiently!

I came across a site last night that addresses the possibility of you loosing your job whether you be laid off or fired. This site offers a few tips on how to get another job and get back on your feet again.

I don’t know if these tips will help, but if your jobless right now you might need all of the help you can get to landing what many may say, is that “illusive” job!

Don’t get lazy and spend at least 30% of every day trying to find a new job are the first tips, the rest of the helpful tips can be found at:

What To Do If Your Jobless In 2008 Recession

That’s it for me today! Good luck if you’re out there looking for a job and hope to see you back again tomorrow for more…

Tom Cruise On…?

Warning! This video has been pulled off of the Internet by the Church of Scientology

With the Mission Impossible theme playing in the background Tom Cruise says that he has canceled spectatorism in his “area”? According to him we don’t have time for spectatorism any more and “Man, you’re either in or your out”!!

Supposedly you’re either in the field or out of the arena because we have the responsibility to educate and create the new reality.

He wants us to have enough love, compassion and toughness to do it right.

According to him it’s wild, woolly and a blast and there is nothing better than fighting a fight and things are better.

He feels that people are depending on “us” and he does what he can the way that he does everything…”there’s nothing part of the way for me”.

It seems that the question of doing it right boils down to;

Would you want others to achieve the knowledge you now have?

Tom has introduced over 1 billion people on earth and supposedly that’s only the 1st wave he’s unleashed!

What is it??

Well, see for yourself!

If you think that Tom jumping on Oprah’s new couch was bad then you ain’t seen nothin’ yet! In this video he seems way “out of the arena” to me and if that dog has been “unleashed” then maybe someone should get him “leashed”…in a hurry!

Well! That’s really all for me today! I hope you have a good one and hope to see you back again tomorrow for more…

Haunted Houses, Ghost Busters & A Few Tips Too!

Well yesterday we started gearing up for Halloween with gargoyles and grotesques so why not find us some haunted houses, or what are Suppose to be haunted houses, today?

I’m not going to make fun of any of the paranormal today because last time I made fun of Friday the 13th my week-end and the entire next week was a total disaster so lets just say I’ve learned my lesson!

You know, since the beginning of time people have been swearing that there are ghosts and haunted houses, (or dwellings). And for as long as people have been swearing there are such things there have been just as many people swearing there are not.

A haunted house is defined as a building that is believed to be a center for supernatural occurrences or paranormal phenomena. And most haunted house stories lay claim to containing ghosts, poltergeists, and/or even malevolent entities.

Haunted locations are often regarded to contain the spirits of deceased beings who may have been former residents or were familiar with the property. Supernatural Activity inside homes is said to be mainly associated with violent or tragic events in the buildings past such as murder, accidental death, or suicide sometimes in the recent or ancient past. Amongst many cultures and religions it is believed that the essence of a being such as the ’soul’ continue to exist…
Wikipedia

So whether there truly are haunted houses or not you’ll have to be the judge of that, but here are some famous houses that lay claim to being haunted!

Booooo!

Haunted Houses?

Now if you happen to live in a house that you think is haunted and it is getting on your nerves but you are just too darn stubborn to move out yourself, then you may want to check out a Ghost Buster and see if they can’t help get “Your Little Friend” to move instead!

Who Ya Gonna Call? GHOST BUSTERS!
