that I did something this morning that I Never thought I would do! (Keep it clean boys)!!

I actually Deleted one of my posts here at JabberWocky!!

I always swore that when I worked so hard writing a post that I would never delete it because I always think long and hard Before writing a post and when I do I always try to make it the best that I think I can do!

I try to be as informative, educating, entertaining or whatever else I set out to do as I can when I begin writing and I feel that it is a total waste of my time if I write something only to go back later and spend yet more time deleting it, but in this case I don’t think I had much choice!

The post has cost me More time in deleting Spam comments coming from Russia than I ever spent writing it! And the stupid part about it is, as I posted a couple of posts before, it is always the same people making comments that have nothing to do with the subject. I suppose they can’t read or something and obviously they are posting comments so that their Websites will get clicked on!

One would think that after I removed all of the clickable links on the comments that I could salvage and then to have the rest of their comments never show up because I marked them as “spam” and they were deleted that they would simply stop wasting their time and mine!

I suppose they must have a robot or something doing their posting but actually 99% of the comments make sense they just don’t pertain to the subject and when you post a comment to me 15 or 20 times that does not pertain to the subject from the same IP address, and we are not bantering back and forth, I Am going to mark your comments “spam” Every Time”.

So Hey, FYI! I’m not going anywhere and I have to be on this site every day so what’s a couple more seconds for me to have the joy of stopping you in your tracks for trying to spam me!

Well anyway, that’s the state of things around here, and to my friends that I have been discussing this problem with…Thanks for listening and most of all thanks for making me laugh when you make light of the situation! I’ve really enjoyed our fun!

Recently the stats on my blog have been going up each day on one particular post, (believe me when I tell you it was definitely Not my best post!), and on that post I have been getting at least one comment each day that I have to moderate. While I love for people to read my blog and comment on it’s contents these comments have been getting ridiculous and are obviously SPAM!!

These comments are coming from Russia and the first couple of days they were approved because the comments had merit and the Websites that these people had looked ok to me, (not full of ads to click on and make money…even though my Russian is sadly lacking what it use to be these days), but I have had to start deleting or marking these comments as spam recently as many of them, still on the same post, continuously come back and make generally the same comments now, something to the effect of “good” or “good blog” or “good work”, each time with a different name and Website but with the Same IP address.

Those of you that have been around here since the beginning KNOW FULL WELL how I feel about my blog/blogs being SPAMED as I wrote a very lengthy post about it quite some time ago.

So in closing this post, which I Really did not want to write…

Let it be know to everyone if I continuously receive comments on my posts, especially the same posts, with the exact same comment coming from the exact same IP address these comments will be purged and marked as spam from now on.

I hate to have to do this as I am generally a nice guy gal but I do so hate being taken advantage of!

3,000 rooms of hideously ugly. It’s the Ryugyong Hotel in North Korea, where the world’s 22nd largest skyscraper, (105 stories), has been vacant for two decades and is is thought that it is likely to stay that way … forever!

It is so bad that the Communist regime usually covers it up by airbrushing it to make it appear open or cropping it out completely.

Architects started building it in 1987. North Korea has poured more than 2% of its gross domestic product building it and 21 years later it is still unfinished & unoccupied.

A bootleg video of the tower was made by a very brave videographer that somehow escaped without being arrested…or worse! That in itself remains a mystery!

Maybe if it were not in North Korea it might, no matter how ugly, stand a chance but since travel to North Korea is limited, to say the least, who can go there to stay in it even if they wanted to?

I guess it may stand a chance…someday, after all the Eiffel Tower was once viewed as one of the ugliest structure ever built and it’s been around 109 years and loved by millions…I guess sometimes they just have to grow on you don’t they?

Well besides the fact that they are murderers that went on shooting sprees and killing innocents, the link I am looking for is that all of these people killed themselves during the attack before the authorities could apprehend them. And trust me the list goes on and on, I just got tired of seeing how many cowards there were out there and wasting my time making a list for these individuals.

These people and others all claim to have depression, they just snap…nice excuse if you can get away with it!

What always amazes me is that these people always seem to think the world is better off without them…and they are 100% correct. But they always seem to “think” that this gives them an excuse to go out and take a few with them while they are committing suicide!

They seem to think that they should be Judge and jury of who lives and who dies. They just have to have their 15 minutes of fame so to speak. And to tell you the truth that’s just about all it is!

Face it, unless you were involved in the attack, who reading this remembers Nicholas Atkinson or Toby Sincino? That’s why they put their names in trivial questions games. Nobody knows them so why not put them in a trivial game and win a few points when no one can answer!

It appears that these individuals lived their life being trivial and now, even in death, they are trivial also.

I live in the Real World and most people, except a few bad apples, live in the Real World also. We ALL get depressed, We ALL have bad days, We ALL snap at times but the general population does not go around murdering people!

And still we put up with these weak individuals wandering our streets.

I say weak because it does not take a man to get up and shoot and terrorize a few hundred people and then take the easy way out and kill themselves because they just don’t want to face the music.

If you are man or woman enough to murder several people, then be man or woman enough to face a Judge and “jury of your peers” and see what they have to say.

After all, you were once Judge and jury all by yourself and look at the sentence that you passed down…what’s wrong, think maybe a “jury or your peers” just may pass the same sentence on you?

Of course the flip side of the coin is, you’re right, no one is going to miss you so why make the good, working people of this world pay for your upkeep during the trial and the many years that it is going to take to give you a shot in the arm because after all…that is the humane way, something that you did not grant your victims!

If you want to commit suicide, then do so, but not at the expense of other individuals who have the right and deserve to live. Just because you are a sad nobody in this world doesn’t mean that you have the right to take the lives of others that are just trying to make it through, at least they have the courage to step up and try to make it in this hard world without harming other innocents.

So, now to address the question who is to be held responsible for these heinous acts?

Obviously these individuals can not be held responsible for what they have done…their dead…along with a few others! So obviously, yet again, no one will be held responsible!

I have my own very radical opinions about this question and had my answer ready but under advice I am not going to put my opinion out there on the Internet for the world to see because, as it was pointed out to me, it could be very unhealthy for me in the long run!

I know that I am not going to be very popular with a lot of people for this, or a few more posts about this subject, but I also know that I am not the only one that feels the way I do…so here goes!

I am tired of hearing about “troubled killers” and “troubled serial killers” and how they never seem to get enough “help”.

The latest of these people that did not “receive enough help” was Robert A. Hawkins who walked into a shopping mall in Omaha, Nebraska last week and started shooting and killing people, before turning the gun on himself.

As it turns out Mr. Hawkins has been in and out of different facilities and homes since 2002. In May of that year, Mr. Hawkins, then 13, threatened to kill his stepmother so he was admitted to a center in Missouri.

He also received extensive care, private psychotherapy, family therapy and drug counseling at a residential treatment facility for teenagers from 2003 to 2005.

As it turns out it is estimated that more than $265.000 was spent on Mr. Hawkins’ care. He supposedly was in good facilities and had good supervision.

And still he kills 8, injures and not to mention terrorizes goodness knows how many people last week.

Now a deputy county attorney claims that she has been reviewing his file and “of course, there is a lot of second-guessing. But there were no indications that he was harmful in this way.”

What in the world is this person talking about??? In 2002 the 13 year old kid threatened to kill his stepmother!! And there were NO INDICATIONS THAT HE WAS HARMFUL IN THIS WAY”???

Lady what planet are you from? Certainly none from our solar system!

How many more INDICATIONS do you need? He Already Threatened to kill someone!

And still they let him go! This homicidal juvenile “troubled” kid even played a role in determining his course of treatment! Well of course he “thought” that he didn’t need any more treatment and since he hadn’t killed anyone Yet let’s just let him go!!

Well first of all his thought process was not very good if he threatened to kill someone! And you are letting Him make his own decisions??

He “just snapped”, were the words he used in one of his suicide notes. That was probably the clearest thought that he ever had!

So you spend $265,000+ dollars and then one day just let him walk out the door?? He is no more “cured” than the day he walked in!

And now the state is so sorry because their vigilance ended up not being enough? And his actions did not come without warning signs?

Well when you threaten to kill a member of your family at 13, I would Think that would be Enough “warning sign”.

And still they feel sorry that they didn’t keep a close enough eye on him!

You waste $265,000 + on a kid for Private psychotherapy, family therapy, drug counseling and homes and you have not done enough?

Well you are right there. You did not do enough to keep the rest of the people in the world safe from this obviously unstable individual.

I do not understand why these people get all of the best private services and you want to do more. And you, the sane ones, are allowing this type of person to take part in determining the course of their treatment?

This sounds like a case of the inmates are running the asylum to me!

Why are these people allowed to have any say in their course of treatment? And why are they given the best of the best private care when we have good, honest, loving human beings that would never hurt a fly, that are in need of food, housing and medical care?

Did you know that it has been a very large growing trend that the elderly that have been married for 50, 60, 70 + years are being forced to divorce their loving partners just because the government will not pay for their much needed medical care when they are together because they “make too much” on their measly social security benefits so they “don’t qualify”??

And yet you take a 13 year old kid that is a homicidal maniac and give him the best of the best Private care that “we the people” are paying for??

Goodness knows that the average human being can not afford their own Private care, we don’t make enough at our jobs! I guess we just don’t qualify because most people are not going around threatening to kill other people, if they were, then I guess we would All get Private care!

What kind of thinking is this? I just do not understand? Is it only me…or?

I don’t know about you, but personally, I can’t see much difference between the New Improved Web and the old one!

I thought maybe it was just me but I came across a list of the 10 biggest Web annoyances recently and I see that I am in fact not alone out there.

These are the main annoyances that were listed that annoy, aggravate and infuriate Web users:

• Dubious privacy policies, the legal jargon in these policies is often laid on so thick that customers can’t understand it, leaving them unsure about whether their private data is truly safe from misuse.
• Difficult online forms, filling out a simple form online can turn into an endless cycle of annoying browser refreshes.
• Overcommercialization of the Web, interstitials; pop-ups; pop-unders; noisy Flash commercials; strobe-lit banner ads; video ads that load without user action.
• Need for standards, it’s infuriating to go to a Web site only to be told, “The page you have requested requires Internet Explorer to function properly.”
• Trolls in forums, the Internet can be a spacious platform for all sorts of community interaction, provided that the participants conduct themselves in a civil manner, but many times they don’t.
• Buying event tickets, many of these sites have managed to transform one of the Internet’s biggest conveniences into one of its biggest rip-offs.

I seem to remember about a year or so ago President Bush was in another country, I can not remember which one, but anyway, while he was speaking a protester from that country stood up and started disrupting his speech. At that time security from that country began going towards that protester but the President spoke up and security stopped to hear what he had to say.

He then made a statement that went something like:

“that’s what I love about America, everyone has freedom of speech”!

Of course at that time the tension in the room eased up, almost everyone let out a forced laugh at his attempt to be clever, the protester stopped and the President continued, uninterrupted until he finished his speech.

Isn’t it wonderful to live in a country where you always have “freedom of speech”, and if you are at a Presidential rally you can demonstrate if you wish to? Why? Because the President said to an entire other country and to billions of people watching television all around the world that he loves “freedom of speech”, right?

WRONG!!

Did you know that a White House manual that came to light recently gives presidential advance staffers extensive instructions in the art of “deterring potential protesters” from President Bush’s public appearances around the country?

Among other things, any event can only be open to people with tickets tightly controlled by organizers. Which doesn’t mean to say that the White House is against demonstrations…just as long as the President does not see them!!!!

As it turns out there are squads placed in strategic areas around the rally to look for demonstrators and if the demonstrators are yelling, rally squads can begin and lead supportive chants to drown out the protesters by chanting something like, “USA!, USA!, USA!” etc., and as a last resort, security should remove the demonstrators from the event site!

Whatever happened to “freedom of speech”? Or…you are more than welcome to have “freedom of speech” as long as it is pre-approved by the President?

White House Manual Details How to Deal With Protestors

Well, I think I say this more and more these days but…I’ve heard it all now!!!

Did you know that Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg from New York takes the subway to work on many mornings? Well, if you didn’t then I should tell you, neither did I!! But then again, the lady that sells newspapers at his local subway entrance, 4 blocks away from his house, didn’t know it either as she has “Never never” seen him!!

And, do you know why? Because Mayor Bloomberg, who happens to be, “public transportation’s loudest cheerleader”, is picked up at his Upper East Side town house by a pair of king-size Chevrolet Suburbans! The mayor is then driven 22 blocks to the subway station at 59th Street and Lexington Avenue, where he can board an express train to City Hall!!! (Instead of walking the 5 minutes and 4 blocks to his closest station)!!!

THIS coming from the man that tells residents who complain about overcrowded trains to, “get real”, And, he constantly encourages New Yorkers to follow his environmentally friendly example!!

Hi Again!

Mossy ponds, thick shrouds of beard-like Spanish moss, subtropical foliage, majestic ebony trees, kiskadees, chachalacas, bobcats, lizards, tortoises, ocelots and jaguarundi, both of them endangered species of cats, and the list goes on. These are just some of the natural wonders in the Rio Grande Valley.

Wildlife enthusiasts fear that these wonders will be spoiled by the fences and adjacent roads that the U.S. government plans to erect along the U.S./Mexico border in order to keep out Illegal Immigrants and Smugglers!

Decades have been spent acquiring and preserving 90,000 riverfront acres of Texas scrub and forest and protecting the area’s wildlife. Now it is feared that the hundreds of miles of border fences will undo all of this hard work and kill some land animals by cutting them off from the Rio Grande, the only source of fresh water.

And the wild life and environment is not the only thing that will be spoiled by these fences! Visitors from around the World bring approximately $150 million a year in revenue to this area. With these fences erected the tourism will dwindle to almost nothing.

And Here I Go…Missing Something Again…I Suppose!! Does the United States and it’s lawmakers really think that this is going to keep out Illegal Immigrants? Don’t you think that they are just going to find other ways to “Climb the Fence”, so to speak??

Illegal Immigrants and Coyotes, people who smuggles immigrants to the United States, make it their life’s work to figure out “New and Improved” ways to get to the “Other Side”!!

So, close to $100 million has already been spent creating, restoring and maintaining refuges for these animals and goodness knows how much it is going to cost to build a 700 mile long fence along the U.S./Mexico border and for what? There will still be Illegal Immigrants only now with much less wildlife and environmental beauty!

You know, the border between the U.S. and Mexico is a longer than 700 miles by the way…do you think that someone might come up with the brilliant idea to go 701 miles to cross over into the U.S. Illegally? Hmmmm…I wonder!!??

Hi Again!!

I was reading on CNN about a man that was accused of “Murder by Duel” in West Virginia recently.

It seems that this man and the person that he killed had an argument, both went home and got guns, came back to the same place and had a shoot out, resulting of course in the death of one of them.

According to the law, which was written in 1849, which predates West Virginia’s statehood:

If any person fight a duel in this state and in so doing inflict a mortal wound, he shall be deemed guilty of murder.

As it turns out the felony carries the same penalty as first-degree murder, up to a life sentence

Witnesses said that they saw the men argue in the road, part ways to retrieve handguns and return with weapons. Testing did determined that both weapons were fired.

Witnesses also told police that it appeared that the roaring sound of an All-Terrain Vehicle seems to be what the argument was about!

Which makes one wonder, why in the world do these laws still exist “on the books”?

OK! In this instance there was a “duel”…of sorts, but people are standing out in the middle of the street now days and shooting at each other all of the time! No One Ever gets accused of “Murder by Duel”! It is called something else today!!

There are so many old laws on the books now days that it is not funny!! Don’t you think think that a little bit of money should be spent on reforming our justice system slightly and hire someone to go over “the books” and when they see a law such as this they bring it to the attention of the proper authorities so that something can be done about it, and clean up those books??

It is ridiculous some of the laws that are “on the books”, that should have been cleared off “the books” a hundred or more years ago!! If we don’t do something about it then in the year 3007 people are still going to be able to be accused of “dueling”? They won’t even know what a gun is by that time!! They will be using laser pistols or whatever happens to be the trend of the time!

While doing this post I decided to look around and see just how many outdated laws there are “on the books”. While I never found out Exactly how many there are, I did find out that there were A LOT!! Too many to mention, but I did come across a few that might amuse you!

In Los Angeles, you cannot bathe two babies in the same tub at the same time.

In Carmel, N.Y., a man can’t go outside while wearing a jacket and pants that do not match.

In St. Louis, it’s illegal to sit on the curb of any city street and drink beer from a bucket.

In Hartford, Conn., you aren’t allowed to cross a street while walking on your hands.

In Baltimore, it’s illegal to throw bales of hay from a second-story window within the city limits. It’s also illegal to take a lion to the movies.

In Oxford, Ohio, it’s illegal for a woman to strip off her clothing while standing in front of a man’s picture.

In Carrizozo, N.M., it’s forbidden for a female to appear unshaven in public (includes legs and face).

In Pennsylvania it is illegal to have over 16 women live in a house together because that constitutes a brothel…however up to 120 men can live together, without breaking the law.

In Michigan, a woman isn’t allowed to cut her own hair without her husband’s permission.

As I said, there are many more but these are just some of the 1st one’s that I found!!

After reading these, I ask again, Why aren’t we doing something about getting these ridiculous laws off of “the books”? It may sound like such a petty thing to some but I happen to think that nothing that has to do with the justice system of the United States is petty!!

After all how would you feel if the next time you decide to have a shoot out in the middle of the street you were arrested for “dueling”?? Or the next time you decide to wear that horrible green shirt with that ugly pair of blue pants you were arrested for not matching??
