Me Again!!

Well this seems like a week for people watching!! Probably most of you have already heard about this, but I hadn’t…I’ve got to get out more!!!!

Yesterday I was reading about a Judge that was suing a dry cleaners for $65 Million Dollars for loosing his favorite pair of pants!!!!

The shop owners have already told him that they found them and he wasn’t happy, (claimed they were not his), then they offered him $3,000, (I’m thinking they are nuts)!!, then they offer him $4,000!!! (they just got nuttier)!!!, and then $12,000!!!!! (we won’t discuss how nutty I think they are now)!!!!

And this Judges’ lawsuit!!! He wants $15.000, which is for 10 years of renting a car to drive to another cleaners on the week-ends!! The rest of it I will quote here because I could Never get it right!!

The bulk of the $65 million demand comes from Pearson’s, (the judge), strict interpretation of Washington consumer protection law, which imposes fines of $1,500 per violation, per day. Pearson counted 12 violations over 1,200 days, then multiplied that by three defendants.

I don’t know, but aren’t you suppose to Not take up the courts precious time on frivolous lawsuits? Can’t you even be put in jail for that in some places? And a Judge doing this no less??

If it had been you or I we probably would not have even gotten a day in court!!! Or, our day in court would be for sentencing us to jail for wasting the courts time!!!

I don’t get what the Judge is trying to do, or trying to prove??

Another thing that I don’t get is who is going to Judge the Judge? Don’t they all know each other? Isn’t there an entire “Judge Society”? And aren’t they suppose to be like doctors? If it’s family you are suppose to step back? Only with Judges, I thought that if you knew one of the people in court you were suppose to step down from the case because of prejudice or something like that??

The story goes on to say how the owners of the dry cleaners are seriously thinking of moving back to South Korea because they are “Incredibly Disenchanted” with “The System”!!!!

Well to tell you the truth, I don’t blame them, after reading about this, I just might have moved with them, if I hadn’t already left the U.S. many years ago!!

With frivolous law suits like this, being brought by people that should definitely know better, it is no wonder why Americans are known as “Greedy Sue Mongers”!!!!
